About Us

The Friends of Oakfield Surgery is a support group where patients can become actively involved in helping the surgery, for example, by fundraising to purchase new medical equipment. If you are interested in helping us, please contact the Practice Manager.

We currently have 29 members of the Friends of Oakfield Surgery. The table below shows the age ranges and genders of our current members:

How to Join

The Friends of Oakfield Surgery Patient Participation Scheme are always looking for new members to join and bring valuable, fresh, new ideas to the group.

There is no age restriction to becoming a member as long as you are able to attend the meetings that held throughout the year.

If you wish to become a member of the Friends of Oakfield Patient Participation Scheme please contact a member of staff within Oakfield Surgery or alternatively email your request to join to Zena.Cornell@nhs.net

Events

The Friends of Oakfield Surgery host meetings throughout the year in order to organise and plan any up and coming fund raising events.

Previous Achievements

Since 1994 the Friends of Oakfield Surgery have raised £38,874 in order to purchase new medical items for the Surgery. A few items that have been purchased over this time include:
