ONLINE REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS

We are now able to offer our patients the opportunity to order their repeat prescription medications online. Only medications that the doctor has authorised as a repeat prescription can be ordered through the online system. If the medication you require is not on the list on SystmOnline then please contact the Surgery.

You will need to come into the surgery and ask a member of our reception team for log-on details to access online services, unless you have previously registered for online appointments or online prescription requesting. You will be given a welcome letter and instructions on how to register.

HOW TO REQUEST A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION MANUALLY

Only medicines that have been authorised by one of the doctors can be issued as a repeat prescription (you should have a list of these which is generated by the computer and is attached to your prescription). Please allow 48 working hours' notice for repeat prescriptions to be processed and signed by the doctor. If you wish for your prescription to be posted please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.

The best way to request a repeat prescription is to use the repeat prescription request slip provided. Tick the items which are required and try to leave it in the box which is located on the left hand side before you enter the Surgery.

We regret that we cannot take prescription requests on the main surgery line because it blocks incoming emergency calls.

We like to review all patients on long term medication every 6 to 12 months. You will be asked to make an appointment to see the doctor when you collect your prescription and a review is due; this is so that we can ensure that you are still being given the best treatment for your condition and so that we can monitor the progress of the therapy and carry out appropriate tests such as blood pressure recordings or blood tests.

DISPENSARY

Patients who do not live in Newmarket, Burwell or Red Lodge can collect their medicines from the dispensary at the surgery. If a particular medicine is not in stock we can usually get it in for the following day.
